A Wicked Thought
September 6th, 2002 - A wicked thought occurs to soon-to-be-kidnapper. Acting on impulse, invites self over to Fozzy's house on the pretense of playing Halo. While running out to the car to "grab cell phone," also borrows Fozzy's keys and steals the chicken.

September 7th, 2002 - Kidnapper gives chicken and digital camera to his sister Liz and brother-in-law Chad, who are leaving to drive across the country later that day. Also takes photograph of misleading sign suggesting that the chicken is in Key West (actual location of sign is Queen Anne).
